THE COCONUT LAGOON
Hidden away in Kerala´s famous backwater’s, Coconut Lagoon is one of Southern
India’s most discreet Holiday destination, an exclusive haven with a unique cultural
heritage. The Resort can only be reached by boat and offers a fascinating insight into the
past. Guest stay in genuine " tarawad" cottages - traditional wooden family
houses. In danger of being destroyed each one has been brought from different parts of
Kerala and carefully reassembled to include every modern luxury.
The Resort was formerly a Coconut grove, and most of the water channels have been
preserved. Overlooking the lake there is a large free -form Swimming pool, complete with
is own bar and a restaurant.
Getting there:
From the Cochin Airport there is a free taxi - boat service direct to the Coconut
Lagoon.
In Keeping with the spirit of the place, the COCONUT LAGOON houses a traditional
Ayurvedic center which specializes in the branch of "SUGACHILZA" or caring for
the healthy.
The treatment comprises of a series of relaxing oil and herbal massages. The full
course is for Fourteen days though one may opt for shorter course of seven days.

| The treatment begins
with consultation with the "VAIDYA" or Avurvada Physician. |
ONE |
| MASSAGE From the second day of ten day every morning a Avurvedic rejuvenative
massage of 60 minutes duration .The massage with medicated oils is performed by two
experienced masseurs in a special rhythmic movement to augment the flow of vital energy to
distribute it uniformly all over the body. |
TWO- ELEVEN |
| MEDICATED STEAM
MASSAGE A medicated steam bath of 20 minutes duration follows
the massage which helps he skin to perspire and toxins loosened up by the massage are
eliminated. |

| SIROVASTHY Each
evening Sirovasthy for seven days. This treatment consists of Luke warm herbal oils poured
into a open capfitted on the head for a duration of 45 to 65 minutes |
DAY |
| VIRECHANA On
the 12th day purgation with Ayurvedic medicines and complete rest and relaxation for three
days. |

- Guests are advised to follow dietary restriction and rest. Internal Ayurvedic medicines
if any advised by the physician may be purchased from the Ayurvedic center.
- Guest are advised a relaxed pace of activities during the therapy which will however
give them time o discover the beauty of Backwaters.
- The seven days program will offer all the treatments of SUGACHILZA mentioned in the 14
day program but will be a compromise from the original 14 day treatment.
- The package is designed as a general purpose rejuvenation therapy and the Physician may
after examining the guest , suggest variation , in which case the rates may vary
proportionately.
