night tour - Starts in Chennai (Madras) or Cochin
covers with Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Tritchy, Madurai, Periyar, backwater
cruise, Kumarakom - coconut lagoon, same of the most interesting places in
Southern India
Itinerary
Day 01 Arrive Madras. Met and assistance
on arrival and transfer to beach resort in Mahabalipuram.
Day 02 Mahabalipuram
Mahabalipuram is a small fishing and artist village.
We see the Shore Temple and the world famous relief sculptured rock panels.
Mahabalipuram is one of the 3 World Heritage Places in South India.
Day 03 Mahabalipuram
Time for relaxing, shopping and swimming.
Day 04 Mahabalipuram
In the morning we drive to Kanchipuram, the ancient capital city of Pallava dynasty.
Day 05 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
Pondicherry is a city who remains very French . French restaurants,
policemen with typical French hats are sights which was left by France when
they departed Pondicherry in 1954.
Day 06 Pondicherry - Tanjore
Drive to Tanjore. Enroute stop in Chidambaram.
In Tanjore we will find the second World Heritage Monument in South India., the
Brihadeeshwara Temple.
 Day 07
Tanjore - Trichy (Tiruchirapalli)
Morning we visit the Brihadeeshwara Temple in Tanjore.
4 hours drive to Tritchy. We visit the Rock Temple.
Day 08 Trichy - Madurai
In the morning after visiting the Srirangam Temple drive to Madurai.
Day 09 Madurai
This is a beautiful and magic temple town with a lot of life and the very
important Meenaski Temple. The temple is a hive of activity, with a colourful
temple elephant. We will join the evening temple ceremony.
Day 10 Madurai - Periyar
5 Hours drive to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
 Day 11
Periyar - Kumarakom
Early morning boat ride on the lake. If we are lucky we will see some wild
elephants. Afternoon drive to our Hotel Coconut Lagoon in the middle of the
backwaters.
Day 12 Kumarakom - Cochin
With the Motor - boat we drive in 5 Hours direct to Cochin
Day 13 Cochin
Cochin - the Queen of the Arabian Sea - where Vasco da Gama first landed in 1497. This
beautiful setting on a group of islands and narrow peninsular with a mainland center which
makes up a rich bustling commercial port. Sightseeing and in the evening we see a
Khatakali Dance Performance.
Day 14 Cochin - Bombay - Goa - Kovalam - Europe -
America
