This is a 17 day / 16 night tour and covers Delhi, Nepal, Varanassi, Khajuraho, Taj Mahal and the best of Rajasthan
Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive
Delhi
Collected from the airport on arrival in Delhi and transferred to hotel. Morning
city tour of Old Delhi which includes Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhis Memorial), the Jama Masjid
(Universal Mosque), the Red Fort and fabled Chandni Chowk (Silver Street). Late afternoon
take a cycle rickshaw ride through the side streets of Old Delhi, to see all its color and
cultural diversity. Afternoon city tour of New Delhi which includes the Qutub
Minar,
Emperor Humayuns tomb, the Houses of Parliament and the Presidential Palace. Evening at
leisure.

Day 02 : Delhi -
Katmandu
Morning transfer to airport to board flight to Katmandu. On arrival in
Katmandu transfer to Hotel.

Day 03 :
Kathmandu
Morning visit to Durbar square of Patan city and Bhaktapur. Afternoon
visit the temples of Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. Evening walk through the Darbar Square
of old Kathmandu with its craft shops and superbly carved wooden houses.
Day 04 :
Kathmandu - Varanasi
Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airport to board flight
to Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world, contemporary of Thebes and
Babylon. It is also one of the holiest Hindu cities and still thriving on its religious
past. Afternoon free.
First Class : Taj Ganges & Clarks Varanasi
Day 05 :
Varanasi
Early Morning boat ride at the Holy River Ganges to see the devout
praying and bathing on the Ghats (Banks), with funeral pyres burning in the distance.
After breakfast, a tour of the by lanes and temples of the city.
Day 06 : Varanasi -
Khajuraho
Morning transfer to the airport to board flight to Khajuraho, a city of
living Temples. On arrival check-in to the hotel. Afternoon visit the architectural
marvels of "The Khajuraho Temples". These Hindu temples with erotic carvings
were built 1000 years ago with art and architecture merged to perfection.

Day 07 :
Khajuraho - Agra
Morning transfer to the airport to board flight to Agra. On arrival at
Agra transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to Taj Mahal : Symbol of eternal love and one of
the "Wonders of the World", and the Agra Fort.

Day 08 :
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
Morning departure for Jaipur by surface. A 6 hours drive through the
vast farmlands of Uttar Pradesh State. Enroute we will visit the Ghost Capital of the
Mughal Emperor Akbar Fatehpur Sikri, built entirely of red sandstone and now declared as a
World Heritage Monument. On arrival at Jaipur check-in to the hotel.

Day 09 :
Jaipur
Morning visit Amer Fort as the Maharajas did during medieval times, on
elephant back. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur visiting the City Palace of the Jaipur
Maharaja, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and the Jantar Mantar (Royal Observatory).
Evening at leisure.
Day 10 : Jaipur
- Pushkar
(
By road )Morning drive of about 140 kms (3 hours) to Pushkar where world famous
Fairtakes place every year. On arrival check-in to Pushkar Desert.
Afternoonvisit the Ajmer, one the holiest centres of Islam. Evening walk around
the Pushkar Lake.
Day 11 : Pushkar
- Udaipur ( By road )
Morning
a 7 hours drive to Udaipur. Udaipur is also referred to as the Venice of
the East, this lake city is perhaps the most romantic of all the Indian centres.
A fairytale collection of exotic gardens, mirror-calm lakes and fantasy island
palaces.

Day 12 : Udaipur
City
tour of Udaipur including the City Palace, Sahalion ki Bari (Garden where women
of Royal household would meet) and Jagat Temple. Afternoon boat ride at the
Pichola Lake
Day 13 : Udaipur
- Jodhpur (By Road - 7 hours)
Breakfast
at the hotel. Later drive to Jodhpur. En route we visit the Ranakpur
marble temple. These temples are over 500 years old and superbly preserved in
near perfect condition. The most distinctive feature are the 29 halls of the
main temple, which contains 1300 pillars of which no two are exactly the same.
After the sightseeing of Ranakpur, we drive to Rohet Garh where the local prince
shall accompany you for a jeep safari to the Bishnoi Village. The Bishnoi's are
a tribe of people, also known as the oldest conservationists in the world.
During the safari, we also visit the weavers huts, the potters huts etc. Later
drive to Jodhpur

Day 14 : Jodhpur
Breakfast
at the hotel. Morning we start a half day Jodhpur city tour with the
visit of Mehrangarh Fort, which
Kipling called one of the grandest sights
in India. True to its name, the 15th century Mehrangarh (majestic) Fort
towers 400 feet high and was never captured. From the courtyard we can see
the fantastic `jali' (lattice) work that almost entirely covers the sandstone
walls and balconies. We also see the beautifully decorated dancing hall,
the royal bedroom, jewels studded robes, ornate baby cradles, solid silver
elephant's seats and palanquins. Later visit the royal cenotaphs at Jaswant
Thada, the pillared marble memorial to the popular ruler Jaswant Singh
II. Morning City tour including Fort & Jaswant Thada. Evening walk around
the colourful bazaars Ghant Ghar (Clock Tower) to see the vibrant and colourful
bazaars of Jodhpur.
Day
15
: Jodhpur - Bikaner (By Road - 8 ½ hours) Bikaner
founded at the close of the 15th century and former capital of the state of
that
name. It is a city of the desert standing on high ground it has an imposing
appearance, surrounded by its fine embattled walls. the city has a 16th
century fort containing ancient palaces, temples, and mosque. Arrive in Bikaner
afternoon and on arrival check-in to the Gajner
Palace or Bhawar Niwas.
Day
16
: Bikaner – Mandava ( By Road 5
hours) After
breakfast, we start the city tour of Bikaner including the magnificent
Junagarh Fort constructed between and 1593 by Raja Rai Singh, a general
in the army of the Mughal emperor, Akbar; the fort has a 986-meter long
wall with 37 bastions and two entrances. Later we drive to the famous Deshnoke
Temple, famous for the ruling deity of Bikaner, Goddess Karni, and the
millions of rats, which inhabit this place. If you see a white rat, it is
said to be auspicious and all your wishes are granted. Arrive in Mandava a small
but colourful towns of Rajasthan, which lies in the heart of Shekhawati region
afternoon. Walk through this small
town with it's ancient havelis and forts.
Day
17
: Mandawa - Delhi (By Road - 5 hours) Morning
drive to Delhi . Small sightseeing,
Hotel Room to refresh (2 hour) Dinner
transfer to the international airport to board the flight to international
destination.
Advise:
Extension to Jaisalmer with Camel ride and overnight in tent (Minimum 3
additional days required).
